Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas – Draa Valley – Zagora

Your adventure begins early as we depart Marrakech and climb the winding roads of the High Atlas Mountains. We cross the legendary Tizi n’Tichka pass, reaching an altitude of 2,260 meters, where you’ll enjoy panoramic views of ancient Berber villages clinging to the mountainsides. After crossing the mountains, the landscape shifts as we enter the lush Draa Valley, Morocco’s longest palm grove. In the late afternoon, we reach Zagora, where your camel caravan awaits. You will trek across the dunes as the sun sets over the horizon, painting the sky in shades of pink and orange. The day ends at a traditional desert camp with a hearty Moroccan dinner and nomadic music around a glowing campfire.

Day 2: Zagora – M’hamid El Ghizlane – Deep Desert Dunes

After breakfast under the morning sun, we head deeper south toward the gateway of the « Great Sahara » at M’hamid El Ghizlane. This is where the road ends and the true wilderness begins. We leave the pavement behind for an off-road 4×4 adventure through the rocky « Reg » and sandy « Erg » landscapes. You will discover the authentic nomadic way of life, visiting sacred oases and perhaps meeting local families who still live in the desert. We reach the remote dunes of M’hamid in time to find the perfect spot for another breathtaking sunset. Your second night is spent in a more secluded camp, offering an unparalleled view of the Milky Way in total silence.

Day 3: M’hamid – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

We bid farewell to the dunes and start our journey back toward the north. We travel along the ancient caravan routes, passing through the historic town of Agdz. The highlight of the return journey is a stop at the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou. This stunning fortified village (Kasbah) has served as the backdrop for famous films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. You will have time to explore its narrow clay alleys and climb to the top for a final view of the Ounila Valley. After lunch, we cross the Atlas Mountains once more, arriving back in Marrakech in the early evening with memories that will last a lifetime.
